Pilgrim Plummeting

Dwyte Pilgrim and Tristan Wade were heads up, and the flop was {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Pilgrim led out for 6,600 from under the gun, and Wade called from the cutoff. Pilgrim led again after the {7-Diamonds} turned - this time for 11,500 - and again Wade called.

Pilgrim checked for the first time after the {6-Spades} rivered, and Wade took the opportunity to bet 23,400. Pilgrim folded, Wade mucked, and the South Floridian took down the pot.

No Bullying the Devilfish

David Ulliott
David Ulliott

David "Devilfish" Ulliott raised to 6,000 under the gun and had action fold all the way around to Josh Brikis in the small blind. Brikis chose to three-bet to 18,000, putting the pressure back on Ulliott. The Devilfish thought for about 90 second before announcing a raise and bumping it to 48,000. Brikis didn't take long to fold.

Meanwhile, Darren Elias has been eliminated from the tournament.

Flush for Fabrice?

Fabrice Soulier
Fabrice Soulier

Action folded around to Alexander Luber who sat on the button. He put out 4,500 in chips in order to entice one of the blinds to come along for a flop. He found a taker in Fabrice Soulier in the big blind.

With a {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop Soulier check-raised Luber and made it 11,200. Luber then moved all in and was begrudgingly called by Soulier.

Luber: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Soulier: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}

Luber had the lead with his pair, and Soulier was going to need to find a fifth spade or a ten in order to deliver the knock out blow. With a {j-Diamonds} on the turn Souiler was running out of chances to win the pot. A {9-Hearts} on the river sealed the deal and allowed for Luber to double up.

Smell the Rosen

Jame Rosen and Mike Sowers were heads up with the board reading {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Rosen check-called 7,700 from Sowers, and both players knuckled after the {q-Hearts} turned. The river was the {9-Spades}, and Rosen checked a third time. Sowers fired 17,000, and Rosen called.

Sowers flipped over {q-Spades}{7-Spades} for a pair of queens, but they were no good against Rosen's {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a pair of kings. Rosen won the pot, and the stacks now look like this:

Soulier Builds a Stack, then Loses Some

Just before the break, we caught a hand on the flop with the board reading {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Dimitar Danchev had bet 7,200 from the small blind, Fabrice Soulier raised to 14,400, and Danchev made the call. Both players then checked the {5-Spades} turn, leading to the {10-Clubs} river.

Danchev check-called a bet of 17,200, but quickly mucked when Soulier revealed {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a pair of aces.

While Soulier had built his stack up to over 230K after that hand, he ended up losing a flip worth 100K to Jamie Armstrong a short time later.

Sabat Slowed Down

Eddy Sabat
Eddy Sabat

With a {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop Eddy Sabat made a 3,500 bet. He was then reraised by Michael Gagliano who made it 8,400, Sabat made the call.

With a {a-Hearts} on the turn both players checked. The {Q-Spades} river allowed Sabat to fire out a 13,000 chip bet. Gagliano made the call and showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens. Sabat mucked.

Controversy on Table 366

Livello 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We heard a commotion over at Table 366 and made our way over to see Gabriel Frank pleading his case to the floor after his cards had been mucked. From what we understand, Frank had raised on the button only to have Chris Moorman three-bet. At this point, Frank claims to have said, "All in."

However, neither the dealer nor players heard anything from Frank. We're guessing a clock was subsequently called, with Frank assuming it was called on Moorman. With its expiration, the dealer quickly mucked Frank's hand, sparking the controversy.

"I said all in," Frank pleaded. "It was the first thing I said." It didn't matter how hard he pleaded as his cards were already in the muck; nonetheless, Frank was clearly upset at the whole situation.
