That's the end of the fourth level. The ladies are now on a 20-minute break.
Australia's Trudy Sultana is by no means all dried up in this tournament, having scored the scalp of Jake Abdalla to move up to more than 9,000 in chips.
All the money was in the middle before the flop; Abdalla was holding but was flipping for his tournament life against Sultana's .
Despite picking up the nut flush draw on the flop of , Sultana's hand was best after the turn and river ran out , to send Abdalla to the rail.
The Ladies Championship has been characterized as friendly, compassionate, and supportive, which we recently saw demonstrated over at April Facey's table. We caught the action on the flop of when the small blind had checked and Facey bet 1,000 from the button.
The small blind had picked up her hand to double-check her cards, at which point Facey accidentally caught a glimpse of her opponent's holdings. Before Facey could say anything, the small blind made the call. "I have to tell you that I just saw your hand," Facey said as the was put out on the turn. "I have you beat and am going to save you some money."
The small blind checked and Facey bet 1,000, reiterating that she had the best hand. The small blind realized she had lifted her cards too high and folded . Facey showed for the better hand. Friendly, compassionate, and supportive, indeed!
We caught the very end of a pretty sick hand between Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck and her opponent. The board read out , and Mayrinck had put out a bet of around 2,000, which would put her opponent all in. She took a few moments, before making the call in what appeared to be a tough position for her. Mayrinck confidently turned up , saying "I didn't hit the river i hit the flop." However, her opponent flipped over for a better full house, and the table erupted in shock and laughter. Despite the loss, Mayrinck is still doing fine, sitting at 4,200 from her starting stack of 3,000.

There was a huge commotion coming from one of the tables in the middle of the Black section and we rushed over to see a massive three-way all-in pot between Michelle Hinojosa and two other players, just as the cards were being tabled:
Hinojosa:
Opponent 1:
Opponent 2:
Hinojosa pumped her fists after the dealer spread the flop of and the other ladies were drawing dead by the time the fell on the turn. The river was only there to make it official.
With the double KO, Hinojosa is up to more than 20,000 in chips!

A player in middle position raised to 325, and Team Pokerstars Pro Liv Boeree called in the hijack. Both blinds called as well, and the four players took a flop of . Action was checked around to Boeree who bet out 525. The player in the small blind was the only caller, and the two went heads up to the turn, which came the . Both players checked that card, and they saw the hit the river. The small blind checked, and Boeree assembled a bet of 1,800. Her opponent folded fairly quickly, and Boeree won the pot, upping her stack to 5,700.
We missed the exact preflop action, however, a short-stacked player ended up getting it all-in against Kristy Gazes, who had her covered.
Gazes:
Opponent:
The board left Gazes with an inferior full house and her opponent doubled through her.
However, Gazes has chipped up nicely since beginning the day and is currently sitting with 8,000 in spite of the small hit.
Marsha Waggoner was making her way past media row, hoisting her bag on her shoulder as she walked and she was kind enough to stop by and answer our enquiries as to how her tournament life ended.
As Waggoner recalled, she was crippled down to 2,000 in chips in an earlier hand after Joy Kenworthy's flopped a set against her , then she found herself moving all-in with a short time later, only to be out-flopped again by Alexandra Petitjean's when another ten spiked up on the board.

Christina Lindley raised to 500 from early position and found one caller in the form of the small blind. When the flop fell , action checked to Lindley and she bet 750. It was enough to take down the pot as the small blind simply mucked.
Lindley is off to a good start in the Ladies Championship as she is now up to 7,000.
