Clements No Fraud

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The cut-off opened to 875 preflop before Scott Clements made it 2,225 on the button, the cut-off then made it 6,400 in a cold four-bet and Clements called.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and the cut-off seemed to slow right down at this point, simply checking then folding when Clements bet 5,000

Big One for Little

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player sporting a stack of about 80,000 who had just been moved to the table a hand before opened with a UTG raise to 600, and three players called behind him. Maynard Little then made it 2,100 to go from the button, and everyone got out except the original raiser.

The flop came {10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Little's opponent checked, Little bet 4,200, and his opponent called. The turn then brought the {4-Clubs}. And some fireworks.

Little's opponent checked again, and Little fired a bet of 6,500. His opponent responded by check-raising big to 28,000. Little paused, then declared he was all in for about 80,000 total. His opponent -- covered by about 5,000 by Little -- made the call.

Little showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for top set while his opponent had {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for both a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw. The river brought the {10-Clubs}, giving Little a boat and sending his opponent railward.

Little pushes way up to 170,000 with that hand, the biggest stack in the immediate vicinity by far, and perhaps all around thus far on Day 1d.

Burkholder Boosts Stack

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The board read {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades} when we arrived at Steven "PiKappRaider" Burkholder's table. He was heads up with an opponent who checked, and Burkholder tossed out 2,100. His opponent check-raised to 6,000, and Burkholder tank-called.

Burkholder's opponent mucked, and Burkholder opened up {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top two pair.

Cheong Strong

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

A player in middle position opened for 800, the player to his left called, and it folded around to Joseph Cheong in the big blind who called as well.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Cheong checked, the preflop raiser bet 1,500, the third player called, and Cheong called as well. The turn was the {K-Hearts}. Cheong checked again, and the raiser kept at it, firing 4,000 this time. His neighbor to his left folded, and Cheong considered the situation. He asked what his opponent had left -- about 11,000 -- then called the bet.

The river brought the {4-Diamonds}, a possible filler of straight or flush draws. Cheong didn't hesitate at all, setting out a column of chips totaling 37,000, well above what his opponent had left. About 15 seconds later, his opponent's cards were heading to the dealer face down, and the pot was being swept to Cheong.

After that one, last year's third-place finisher in the 2010 WSOP Main Event is now sitting with about 54,000.

Demidov Dusted

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Just as Ivan Demidov got himself all in, the ESPN cameras swarmed, and it sort of bumped us out of a line of sight. We only have tidbits. Demidov was all in with {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts}, and Beth Creedmoor was slightly behind but drawing live to the knockout with her {K-Spades} {J-Spades}.

The board was... well, we're really not too sure. But we did see the {K-Clubs} somewhere in there, and that was all Creedmoor needed to send the 2008 runner up on his way. You'll see the rest on TV, we suppose.

Bonding Folds River

From early position, Lars Bonding raised to 900. Action folded around to the player in the small blind and he reraised to 2,400. Bonding made the call and then the dealer ran the {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. The small blind continued with a bet of 3,400. Bonding called.

The turn brought the {J-Clubs} and the small blind fired 6,200. Bonding called again to see the river.

The {5-Spades} paired the board on the river and the small blind fired all in for 20,475. Bonding began to tank after getting a count from the dealer. Bonding tanked for several long minutes before finally making what looked to be a very painful fold.

Cousineau Coolered

Tony Cousineau's 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event has come to an end. He was just eliminated by Grant Hillman in the following hand.

Action folded to Cousineau in the cutoff seat and he raised to 1,025. Hillman was in the small blind and when action got to him, he three-bet to 2,525. Play got back to Cousineau and he four-bet all in. Hillman called.

Hillman: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Cousineau: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The flop, turn and river ran out {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} to keep Hillman's aces in the lead. At the final count, Hillman's 20,050 was more than what Cousineau began the hand with and he was eliminated from the tournament.
