A Hollywood Ending?

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

As we reported earlier Shannon Elizabeth is very short stacked and if the night continues like this it would be like a Scary Movie for her. Should she gain 65,000 more chips Day 2 could be a 70's Show for her. But if she only chips up 4,000 more her stack might look like Thir13een Ghosts staring back at her.

The Grand bagging process might led her to feel Love Actually for the WSOP. But if she doesn't bag up at the end of the night she'll be as mad as some Tomcats. So let's her tablemates play softly against her and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back against another player. Then we'll all be happy and have some American Pie.

Jacks for Bax

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy opened to 750 from under the gun, and Lars Bonding called out of the small blind. The flop came down {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, Bonding led for 1,000, and Josephy called. Both players knuckled after the {a-Clubs} completed the board and Bonding opened up {8-}{8-}.

Josephy had the best hand, tabling {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}, and won the pot to push his stack to 24,000 chips.

I Am (Out on Day) Number One

Nelly
Nelly

We didn't catch the hand, bit it appears Nelly has been eliminated from the Main Event. At least that's what we've concluded after noticing his entourage has disappear and his chair is empty and void of chips.

Esfandiari Out

Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

We missed the action, but the dealer recounted us the tale as best he could of Antonio Esfandiari's bust out

Apparently on a flop with two hearts, Esfandiari got it all in with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} against {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Although they said he was behind the whole time, a heart did hit the river to give his opponent the nut flush and he hit the rail.

Seif Chipping Up

With 2,000 finding its way into the pot preflop, the {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} appeared on the flop and action checked to Mark Seif in the cutoff. After he bet 3,000, the big blind responded with a check-raise to 6,000, an early-position player folded, and Seif made the call.

The big blind proceeded to check-call a bet of 3,500 on the {7-Hearts} turn, before both he and Seif checked the {5-Spades} river.

The big blind showed {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for nine and sevens, but it was no good against the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} of Seif.

Mike Binger Eliminated

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Mike Binger won't be making another deep run like he did 2006 when he finished third in the Main Event. He shoved his last 4,875 all in preflop and found a call from an opponent that held pocket nines. Binger had {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} and the board ran {9-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {10-Hearts}. His opponent's set on the flop sent to the rail.

JJ Lose

J.J. Liu
J.J. Liu

When we caught up to the action we found JJ Liu in the small blind calling a bet of 800 from the player on the button. The big blind also made the call and three people got to see a {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. It was here that all players checked.

A {k-Spades} turn allowed for Liu to take control of the hand and bet out 1,100. She received a call from the big blind, but the button opted to fold. The {Q-Spades} river slowed Liu down as she checked. The big blind then bet 2,000 and Liu called.

Liu showed {J-}{J-} for a pair of jacks, Liu's opponent however tabled {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for three queens and the winning hand.

Orange Rind

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

We're getting a little antsy over here in the Orange section, and we've been wandering around taking inventory of the overall situation. Here's what we're seeing as we pass through the tables.

There are a ton of players drinking coffee here during their after-dinner sessions, and the cocktail servers are working up a sturdy sweat keeping up with all of the requests. We know this time of night. Coffee first, then cocktails.

Massage count: 3
People in cow costumes: 1
Women: 10 (out of 405 seats)

None of those women remaining are either Lana O'Brien or Nichoel Jurgens, both of whom appear were eliminated before dinner.

The frightening gentleman who crashed a pair of cymbals together at the shuffle-up-and-deal this morning has also been eliminated, it appears.

While Chinese Poker is all the iPad craze these days, Michael Binger has taken to a more studious game. Words with Friends. We weren't peeking or anything... but... rats, hive, noun, parched, lepers.

Ravi Raghavan didn't come prepared with an iPad, but he is using his little iPhone the best he can. Game of choice right now: Doodle Jump.

Hm, card cappers? Cyndy Violette is using three smooth stones as her good luck charms, while Darvin Moon prefers to defend his holdings with a small box of breath mints. We appreciate that Darvin. Mr. Moon has also let the beard fill in a good bit since the last time you saw him on TV, incidentally.

"Oh Come Onnnn"......."OH...that'll do"

Jason Wheeler raised it up to 700 on the button and got re-raised by the small blind to 2,100. Wheeler made the call and the two saw a {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. The small blind bet out 1,800 and Wheeler put him all in for only 8,000 more. The small blind snap called and showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for flopped top set. Wheeler could only say, "Oh come onnnn" and he flipped over {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. The turn came a {2-Clubs} and the river was the miracle {a-Hearts} and that gave him the better set. The player with jacks, understandably steamed, stormed off and Wheeler moved up to 49,000
