Joseph Cheong raised to 9,000 from the cutoff and was called by the player in the big blind. The flop came down and the big blind checked. Cheong continued out with a bet of 13,500 and his opponent made the call.
Fourth street brought the and once again the big blind checked. Cheong shot out a second bullet, this time making the magic number 25,000. The big blind tossed out five orange chips worth 5,000 each and the two players were off to the river.

We came on this one with the board showing , a modest-sized pot already built, and Dennis Phillips contemplating whether or not to call an opponent's bet after he'd checked to him. Phillips finally did make the call, tabling for top two. His opponent showed for a lesser two pair, and Phillips scooped the pot.
