"Memphis" Chips Up

Livello 5 : 200/400, 0 ante

Fans of the affable Las Vegas local Tobin Banks would be pleased to know that "Memphis" is now back up to 6,000 in chips after taking a huge chunk of change off an opponent over on Ted Forrest's table.

Banks and three other players came in to a see a flop of {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}; the small blind led out and the big blind called, as did the player in the UTG +1 position before Banks raised from the hijack. Only the small blind and the UTG +1 player called, so it was three-way action to the turn of the {A-Clubs}.

The small blind and UTG +1 player checked, Banks bet again and this time only the small blind called, before he check-called Banks' bet when it was heads-up on the river {10-Clubs}.

Banks showed down {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the flopped straight and the small blind mucked his hands. In a bizarre twist, the small blind player, who is sitting on almost 20,000 in chips, didn't want to be named! However, we can give you a few more that were more than willing, including Sammy Elkassir (19,800) Joe Sebok (20,300) and Daniel Ospina (24,800).
