Shulman Loses in Battle of the Blinds

Livello 10 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

After a player opened for a raise from the cutoff and a player called from the small blind, 2009 WSOPE Main Event Champion and CEO of CardPlayer Magazine, Barry Shulman, three-bet from the big blind and was called by both players.

The flop fell {9-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and the small blind checked to Shulman who led out. The cutoff laid it down and the small blind made the call. The turn was a {9-Spades} and Shulman's opponent once again checked to him. After Shulman fired a second bullet, his opponent decided to raise and Shulman made the call. The {J-Clubs} was laid out on the river and and the small blind decided to throw out a bet this time. Shulman called but was dejected to see his opponent flip up {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}. "If you're just calling it's not good enough to win it" said Shulman's opponent as his full house was moved up to the center of the table and the chips were pushed away from Shulman's direction.

This hand left Shulman with 29,100 in chips.
