Event #4: Tournament of Champions
Giorno 2 completo
Day 2 of Event #4: Tournament of Champions is in the books at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, with only 31 players remaining of the 747 total entries. After a 12-hour day, it was America's Scott Wilson bagging an impressive chip lead with a total of 2,885,000 in chips.
After being chip leader multiple times throughout the day, it was Brent Gregory who bagged the second-largest stack with a total of 2,000,040. Dakota Britton is trailing in third with 1,400,000.
Vincent Moscati (1,120,000) and Katelin Koper (990,000) round out the top five on the leaderboard. Moscati almost busted during Level 14 when he found himself all-in with pocket tens against the superior jacks in the hand of Sergio Benso. However, a ten on the flop gifted Moscati a set, which held to keep his WSOP bracelet dreams alive.

Of the chasing pack, only Jason Somerville has won a WSOP bracelet before. Somerville triumphed in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event back in 2011. Some may say that bracelet number two is long overdue; Somerville will likely agree with those sentiments. The popular streamer returns to the action in this event with a 405,000 stack, placing him 24th at the restart.
The returning players have each locked in at least $5,400 for their efforts, with the next pay jump happening when 26 players remain. Reaching the final table increases their take-home pay to $16,000, with the eventual champion clinching a $200,000 prize plus the all-important gold bracelet.
Day 3 begins at 12:00 p.m. on June 2, with play resuming at Level 21, where the blinds are 10,000/20,000 plus a 20,000 big blind ante. Play will continue until a champion is crowned. Who will that champion be? Stay tuned to PokerNews to find out!

Chad Jenkins raised to 32,000 in early position and Scott Wilson flatted in the cutoff before Christopher Lawrence jammed for about 300,000 in the big blind. Jenkins shoved over the top for a little under 500,000 and was snap-called by Wilson.
Christopher Lawrence: 9♣9♠
Chad Jenkins: J♠J♥
Scott Wilson: A♥A♠
The dealer ran the board of 6♦4♥4♦2♥Q♠, and Wilson's aces held as he knocked both of his opponents out and emerged as the chip leader.

Michael Scarborough opened from early position to 36,000 and action folded around to Jason Somerville who moved all-in for 344,000 from late positon.
Scarborough went in the tank, then finally asked Somerville if he'd "show if I fold?" Somerville responded, "depends on how long you take."
Scarborough folded shortly after, and Somerville's cards hit the muck, reneging on the promise.

The player in the hijack started the hand by limping in. Brent Gregory raised the bet to 55,000, Andrew Lawton cold-called out the big blind and the hijack came along to a flop of K♦3♥2♣.
The hand checked through to the 10♣. Lawton seized the opportunity to take the betting lead and fired out 75,000. The hijack folded while Gregory raised to 475,000 putting Lawton all in.
After minutes in the tank Lawton announced "You put me in a tough spot here" before eventually hero-calling for his tournament life.
Andrew Lawton: K♠Q♠
Brent Gregory: A♣4♣
The 5♠ fell on the river marking the end of Lawton's deep run.

Zachary Zaret: A♣A♠
Xulong Zhang: A♦K♣
Zaret's aces were in the lead and the 9♣9♥8♠Q♣6♠ run-out was a safe one as he collected a double-up with only thirty minutes left in the night.

Action folded around to Wissam Gahshan, who raised to 32,000 from the button and was called by Jacob Long from the big blind.
Long checked the 6♠6♣4♦ flop to Gahshan who continuation bet 21,000. Long then check-raised to 60,000 and Gahshan called.
The dealer peeled the 10♠ on the turn and Long led for 100,000. Gashan thought for a moment before folding.
Long turned over A♠8♥ to show the bluff.

The flop came Q♣9♣3♥, and Koutelidakis continued for 32,000. Gregory made the call.
The 4♣ landed on the turn before Koutelidakis slowed down with a check. Gregory fired out a bet of 45,000, which was looked up by Koutelidakis.
The 7♥ completed the board and Koutelidakis checked for a final time before Gregory bet 136,000. Koutelidakis went into the tank before eventually making the call and saw the bad news as Gregory tabled Q♥Q♠. Koutelidakis mucked his hand as the dealer shipped the pot to Gregory.
