Event #56: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw was another huge success here at the 2024 World Series of Poker, attracting a total of 371 entrants to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, an increase compared to last year’s version of this event which drew 353. A total of 103 players remained at the end of the night.
The field created a total prize pool of $825,475 with the top 56 players being guaranteed at least a min-cash of $5,054, while the winner will receive the top prize of $177,045 and a WSOP gold bracelet.
Ryan Ko leads the field with 343,000, and Mark Roland bagged the second biggest stack of the evening, finishing with 317,000 chips, worth just under 40 big bets going into Day 2. Other top stacks by the end of the night include Matthew Schreiber (267,000), Shaun Deeb (254,000), Jon Kyte (252,000), Chad Eveslage (243,000) and Julien Martini (221,000).

Action picks up on Saturday, June 22, at 1 p.m. local time in the Horseshoe Event Center. The day will resume at Level 13 featuring blinds at 2,000/4,000 and limits at 4,000/8,000. The plan is to play ten hour-long levels before players bag for the third and final day.

Frankie O'Dell opened from the button, a player in the small blind three-bet and O'Dell made the call, drawing one while O'Dell took two.
After the first draw the small blind bet, O'Dell raised and the small blind called, drawing one again while this time O'Dell stood pat.
O'Dell bet when checked to after the second draw and was called by his opponent, who drew another one while O'Dell stood pat again.
Both players checked with no draws remaining. The small blind mentioned he had made a pair on the first two draws before ending up with Qx6x5x3xAx for a queen-low. O'Dell tabled a seven with 7x6x3x2xAx to take the pot.

A-5 Triple Draw
A player from under the gun opened and received calls from Ari Engel in the cutoff and Shaun Deeb in the big blind. Deeb drew three, the original raiser drew two and Engel took one.
After the first draw action checked around to Engel who bet and was called by both opponents. Engel stood pat, Deeb drew two and the under the gun player drew one.
Engel bet again when checked to after the second draw and was one again called by both opponents. The under the gun player and Deeb took one each while Engel stood pat again.
With no draws remaining Deeb bet, the under the gun player folded and Engel called.
"I like your hand" Deeb commented at which point Engel tabled a seven with 7x4x3x2xAx.
"But it doesn't beat mine" Deeb continued, turning over a six with 6x5x4x3xAx for the winner.
"Never table your hand first" Matt Glantz, who was standing nearby, joked with Engel as Deeb dragged in the pot.

Carol Fuchs opened from under the gun and was called by a player in the big blind who drew three while Fuchs took two.
After the first draw the big blind checked and Fuchs bet, the big blind raised to two bets and Fuchs called, drawing one while the big blind stood pat.
The big blind bet after the second draw and Fuchs raised to two big bets. The big blind made it three bets and Fuch called. This time both players stood pat and checked with no draws remaining.
"Nine" the big blind announced.
"No" Fuchs replied, tabling an eight with 8x7x5x3x2x to take down a nice pot.
