Giorno 1 iniziato
The 2023 World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Resort in Rozvadov continues today with Event #10: €2,000 8-Game Mix, which is the only mixed-game tournament of the this year’s series. Last year, Thomer Pidun bested a 102-entry field and defeated two-time bracelet winner Oleksii Kovalchuk heads-up to claim his first bracelet and the €49,245 first-place prize.
As is often the case, mixed-game events tend to attract plenty of accomplished notables looking to showcase their skills beyond just Hold’em. Among those who cashed in last year’s field include Yuval Bronshtein, Shaun Deeb, Anson Tsang, and Allen Kessler, to name a few.
Eight-Game Mix features a rotation of games including No-Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Razz, Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better, and 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw. Each game is cycled after every orbit and each table will be six-handed.

Viktor Blom had already raised to 2,300 from the hijack and was three-bet to 8,200 by Stuart Rutter in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Blom, who four-bet enough to put Rutter all in for 48,000 total. Rutter called and hands were revealed.
Stuart Rutter: A♥K♦K♠2♦
Viktor Blom: A♠A♣J♠3♥
Blom was ahead with his aces, but the K♥9♠10♥ flop vaulted Rutter into the lead with a set of sets. The K♣ turn improved Rutter to quads and left Blom drawing dead.
An irrelevant 8♠ completed the board and Rutte doubled up through Blom.
