$1,650 Main Event
Giorno 1d completo
Day 1d of the $1,650 Main Event has come to an end at PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas at Resorts World Las Vegas and Petrica Oana (234,000) is the chip leader after 14 levels of play.
The fourth of six flights in the Main Event may have been on the smaller side, but there was no shortage of action from the 47 entries, from which 12 players have found a bag and will return for Day 2 on Thursday.
Oana was followed close behind by some talented players. Josh Reichard (193,000) finished the flight in second place after registering late in the night and working his way into a commanding presence at the table. Jon Kyte (113,000) shipped a Venetian Deepstack just six days ago and is now moving on to Day 2 with a healthy stack. 2023 U.S. Poker Open Champion Martin Zamani (127,000) opted to max late register the event and was able to use some tricky play and well-timed aggression to get moving in the right direction and put chips in a bag for Day 2.

Unfortunately, not everyone on the late-night/early-morning flight could find a bag. NAPT Super High Roller runner-up, David Stamm started off the day hot as he took down some pots and even eliminated a player when he drilled the nut straight on the turn and held. He would then go on a cold streak and end the night on the rail. Former WSOP Main Event final tablaist Griffin Benger hung tough for a good portion of the day but was not able to make Day 2. Popular YouTuber and high-stakes pro Masato Yokosawa also made an appearance late in the day, but it was short-lived.
Luckily for all these players and many more who have not yet found a bag, there are still two more flights, including the 8 p.m. Turbo flight that will be running to help a few more people get that Day 2 shot at glory.

A late position player raised to 5,000 and got called by Martin Zamani in the cutoff and also by the big blind, bringing out a Ax8xKx flop.
Action checked to Zamani who opted to bet out for 9,000. The big blind quickly folded and the late position player laughed as he mucked and showed the 10♥10♦, assuming that he'd been out flopped. Zamani responded by showing the Qx9x for a well-timed bluff to close out.

Josh Reichard raised to 5,000 from under the gun only to face a three-bet to 12,500 from Jordan Spurlin on his left. Reichard opted to make the call and see the J♦A♦4♥ flop.
Reichard checked over to Spurlin who continued with a bet of 6,500. Reichard made the call to see the dealer burn and turn the 10♥.
Reichard checked once again and after a moment of thought, Spurlin reached into his stack and came out with a bet of 22,000. Reichard paused briefly before grabbing a stack of chips and announcing all-in as he moved the chips forward.
Spurlin checked his cards once more but was done with the hand he he wasted little time in sending them to the muck and letting Reichard take down a good-sized pot with no river.

On a completed board reading 4♣8♥7♦6♠9♥ and with a lot of chips already in the middle, Martin Zamani's opponent was first to act and led with a bet big enough to put Zamani all-in.
Zamani wasted no time in calling and tabling the K♣5♥ for a straight, much to the dismay of the player in the big blind as they frustratingly turned over the 7♠7♥, sending a huge double in Zamani's direction.

Action was joined on a board of K♥K♠2♣6♥ and action was checked over to Cody Raymond who put out a bet of 2,500. It was then back on the small blind who check-raised to 7,500. Raymond called and the 10♠ rolled off on the river.
The small blind sat in the tank for a moment and then moved all in. Raymond snap called and immediately tabled K♣10♣ for the stone cold nuts. The small blind flashed a king and mucked.
Raymond got a pure double at exactly the right time as the players are just one level from bagging.
