Babekov Ends It on the Turn

A player in middle position raised to 1,000 only to see a three-bet come from Mark Babekov in the big blind to 3,500. The middle position player called and the dealer put out the Q102 flop.

Babekov continued with a bet of 2,500 which was called by the middle position player, bringing out the 4 on the turn.

Babekov paused briefly before assembling another bet, this time in the amount of 5,500. His opponent thought for a few moments before ultimately releasing his hand and conceding the pot to Babekov.

De La Pena Gets All the Chips In

The action was opened under the gun to 1,000 before Carlos De La Pena called in middle position and the big blind called behind.

The 106A flop landed and action checked to De La Pena who took the betting lead and wagered 1,000. The big blind called before the original raiser put in a check-raise to 5,500. Action was then back on De La Pena who took only a second before moving all in for about 16,500.

The big blind got out of the way and then the original raiser went into the tank. After about a minute the under the gun player flicked in a call and the cards hit their backs with De La Pena all in and at risk.

The turn sealed the deal in the K giving De La Pena the nuts and having his opponent drawing dead. The river landed a brick and De La Pena scooped a massive pot for a pure double.

Reilly Gets the Bluff Through Multi-Way

The player under the gun raised to 1,200 and found callers in a late position player, Tim Reilly in the small blind and the player in the big blind before seeing the flop come 265.

All four players checked through to the 7 turn card.

Reilly paused briefly before opting to lead out with a bet of 2,600 with both the big blind and the late position player calling to see the 5 fall on the river.

Reilly counted down his stack before deciding on betting out again, this time for 7,500. Both the big blind and the late position player took a moment before acting but both would ultimately end up folding, conceding the multi-way pot to Reilly who flipped up the AJ as he collected the pot.

Bluffs Becoming a Theme on Day 1d

Jon Orlando limped from late position only to see a three-bet come from the button in the amount of 2,000. Orlando made the call and watched as the flop came JK6.

Orlando checked to the button who put together a bet of 2,500. Orlando wasted little time in making the call to see the turn bring the A.

Orlando paused briefly before reaching into his stack and tossing out a single 5,000 denomination chip. The button, who appeared briefly to want to make the call, eventually tossed his cards toward the muck only to watch as Orlando tabled the 107 for a pure bluff as he reached out to collect the pot.
