Jaka Can't Beat Ladies

Livello 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

Following an early position raise to 26,000, Faraz Jaka moved all in for 217,000 in the hijack. Nils Mikelsons rejammed in the small blind and everyone else folded.

Faraz Jaka: A10
Nils Mikelsons: QQ

The 752 flop spiced things up as Jaka picked up a flush draw, and the 4 turn gave him a wheel draw. However, the Q river did not help him in any way, shape, or form, and Jaka made his exit.

Varis Rivers the Super Nuts

Livello 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Aku Varis
Aku Varis

Aku Varis moved all in for 175,000 from middle position before the action folded all the way to Kesiena Otite in the big blind who called for less.

Aku Varis: K10
Kesiena Otite: AQ

Varis needed some help and the AQ10 flop only put Otite in a commanding lead. The 7 turn was a total brick but hope was not lost for Varis who could hit a jack or a spade to win. Lucky for him, he got both.

The miracle J hit the river giving Varis the royal flush and sending Otite to the rail.

Warburton the Victim in Enormous Three-Way Pot

Livello 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Corey Brass
Corey Brass

Action folded to Steven Warburton who raised to 25,000 from the hijack, finding two callers in Jonathan West from the cutoff and Corey Brass in the big blind, leading to a 5103 flop.

Brass and Warburton both checked to West who tossed out a bet worth 25,000. Brass made the call and with action back on Warburton, he paused before reaching for chips and putting in a check-raise to 62,000.

West didn't need much time to make a decision as he grabbed chips and put in a relatively quick raise to 125,000. At this point, the pot was getting big and with action back on Brass, he decided to make a four-bet and jammed for 265,000. Warburton called off his shorter stack and West called as well, placing both Warburton and Brass at risk with two cards to come.

Steven Warburton: 55
Corey Brass: A3
Jonathan West: 33

In a pot that started out subdued enough, the flop set the action into the stratosphere having absolutely nailed all three players and with the threes dead for West, Warburton would need a non-diamond runout to secure a huge triple up.

The hope of such a runout was short lived, though, as the turn immediately brought the 2 and when the board completed with the 7, Brass sat down to rake in the massive pot as Warburton stood up to make his exit from the tournament thanks to this insane hand.

Botez Abdicates With Kings

Livello 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Alexandra Botez
Alexandra Botez

Chess queen Alexandra Botez took a tough beat early into Day 2 as her kings were cracked by the ace-king of an opponent.

Botez held KK to the opponent's AK and was in good shape to double up before the flop of 10JQ gave her opponent Broadway. The turn brought the 5 turn and the the last king in the deck landed on the river to give her a set, which was not enough.

Faraz Jaka

Faraz Jaka was on the button against Diogo De Melo Cardoso in the hijack on a board of 7KA2J.

With around 320,000 already in the middle, Cardoso moved all in for 237,000 and Jaka went in the tank before calling.

Cardoso showed 108 for a flush as Jaka was forced to show 22 for a no-good set of deuces.
