Victor Ramdin is a Team PokerStars Pro who holds a World Poker Tour title that netted him over $1.3 million along with a win in the Main Event at The Big Event in Los Angeles for $500,000. One thing he doesn't have though is a World Series of Poker gold bracelet.
Ramdin has been on a roller coaster of a ride here in Event #37: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, but just might have put the downswings behind him as he now sits with a stack of about 100,000. This is another event at the 2011 WSOP that Ramdin looks to be making a charge at the bracelet. Already this year, he's earned himself the following WSOP results:
This is only the 37th event of the 2011 WSOP and Ramdin has already almost matched the number of cashes he earned all of last year here in Las Vegas. Ramdin also has earned himself 95.5 WSOP Player of the Year points and sits in 158th spot on that leader board. If he's able to pull off a deep final table run here in this event, he would jump near the top of that list.
Most importantly though, Ramdin is chasing the gold that has eluded him all of his career. Last year Ramdin had his closest call, coming in sixth place in the $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha event for nearly $50,000. Being able to win gold here in the elite event would mean the world to him and he's really gunning for it. Be sure to follow along with PokerNews as we see how deep Ramdin can do in this one and if he can earn his fifth cash of the 2011 WSOP.

One hand after losing a sizable Hold'em pot to Gary Benson, Frankie O'Dell again opened with a raise. Mori Eskandani made it three bets, and Sam Silverman put in the fourth bet on the button. O'Dell and Eskandani both called. The flop fell . Action checked to Silverman, who bet and picked up one caller in O'Dell. Silverman bet again when the turn brought the , and O'Dell called while the rest of the breaking table began racking their chips to move to new seats. A fourth heart, the , appeared on the river. O'Dell saw his opportunity and bet into Silverman, who threw up his hands.
Silverman tanked for several minutes while the table waiting impatiently for him to decide so they could get new seat cards. Finally he made the call and breathed a sigh of relief when neither of O'Dell's were hearts. Silverman's flopped a set and held through the four-flushed board to win the pot. "You're supposed to make that call," O'Dell said. "I don't know what took so long."
Silverman now has 220,000. After dropping two pots in a row, O'Dell is down around 150,000.
Hold'em
This is the fastest hand we've seen all day, and it went all the way to showdown. Well done, guys! Frankie O'Dell raised, and from the cutoff, Gary Benson made it three-bets, a total of 12,000. O'Dell called, and the flop came . O'Dell insta-checked and called Benson's snap-bet just as fast. As soon as the dealer put the down on the turn, they repeated the action. Lightening check, bet, call again after the scary river. Benson tabled to win the pot. He's up to 111,000 while O'Dell dropped to 185,000.
