2011 World Series of Poker
The players are now on their final 20-minute break of the day. Two more levels will be played before we call it a night.
The poker room is becoming increasingly empty as we begin to burn the midnight oil, but that hasn't stopped Daniel Idema and Gabriel Nassif from duking it out on table 369 as we approach the final break of the day.
Earlier, the action folded around to Idema who raised from the button; Nassif was the only caller from the big blind, so they went heads-up to the flop that read . Nassif check-called Idema's bet on the flop, only to check-fold after the dealer produced the
on the turn.
In the very next hand, Nassif was able to regain those chips. Idema raised from the cutoff, only to see Nassif reraise from the small blind. Idema called, then opened after Nassif checked the flop of . Nassif check-called, then opened on the turn of the
. Idema called, so it was off to the river, which was the
.
Nassif checked and Idema bet, but Nassif check-raised. "Is that a raise?" Idema asked the dealer.
The dealer nodded. "You got it," he sighed as he tossed his hand away.
Idema is down to less than 100,000 while Nassif is back up to 97,000 in chips.
Players in the event are re-drawing for seats right now as we've reached the final 27 players of the event. We're only 26 eliminations away from crowning a new $1,500 Limit Hold'em world champion! Stay tuned for all of the latest updates!
Arkaidy Tsinis has just been eliminated in 26th place at the hands of Sean Nguyen.
All the money was in the middle before the flop; Tsinis was as risk with , but ran smack-bang into Nguyen's

After running into the of Michael Moore the hand prior, JJ Liu was left with less than two bets behind. She raised the rest of her stack all in preflop and was called by Matt Matros.
Matros:

The board fell and JJ Liu, the last woman in the field was officially eliminated. She packed up all of the trinkets that surrounded her chips for the entire tournament and headed off for the rail, pocketing $4,993 for her efforts.
Timothy Chauser sends another one to the rail as Michele Limongi is eliminated.
Limongi was all in pre flop with Scott Clements and Timothy Chauser in the hand. The flop came out . Clements led out, Chauser raised, and Clements three-bet. Chauser flat called. The
came up on the turn. Clements bet and Chauser called. The river came the
with Clements betting again and Chauser calling.

We are now down to 29 players.
We caught up with the action due to the cries and loud tirades coming from table #372. On a board of , Michael Winnett was going off on yet another loud rant.
"I literally have pocket kings right now. Its rigged. It's SO rigged" exclaimed Winnett. "How can I literally lose everything? I don't get it!"
It was at this point that Winnett literally slammed his chips into the middle, making the call of Brian Pimlott's river bet. Pimlott tabled and Winnett threw his cards furiously into the muck.
"Couldn't have given him the jack?! It's just so ridiculous. It's rigged" Winnett said one more time.
This hand crippled Winnett and left him with around 20,000 in chips. A few hands later, his fate was sealed when Arash Yazdanpanah made a raise preflop. Winnett three-bet, leaving himself with only 4,000 behind. Yazdanpanah made the call and Winnett shoved the rest of his chips in blind.
Winnett:
Yazdanpanah:
The flop made Winnett crazy as it came down . The turn and river were of no help as they fell
and Winnett was officially sent to the rail.
"Another three outer! It's absolutely ridiculous!" yelled Winnett as he followed the floorman out of the tournament area. Smiles were on the faces of every other player at table #372 as now the table may finally have some peace and quiet to concentrate as we wind down closer and closer to the final table.
We're now down to the last 32 players in this tournament and as you can plainly see, Daniel Idema has stormed out in front with 305,000 in chips, almost double that of his nearest rivals, Jared Odell (167,500) and Darin Thomas (167,000).
As this chip count post went to post, Melanie Banfield was eliminated, leaving JJ Liu as the last remaining female in the tournament, but a bigger sigh of relief went up from the other players when "Mr. Hipster", AKA Michael Winnette, finally departed the room in his typically boisterous style. We'll have that bust-out for you shortly.
