Play has ended for the day in Event #30: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Some 166 players returned for Day 2 out of an original field of 522, surpassing last year's event, which drew 350 players. After 10 levels of play, only 18 players found a bag for the third and final day.
Of those 18 players Benny Glaser emerged as the chip leader after being short-stacked for most of the early levels of the day. He bagged an impressive 1,185,000 chips, the exact same number of chips he bagged at the end of Day 2 for last year's event. Not far behind Glaser are John Monette with 1,155,000 and Ziyuan Wang with 1,105,000.

Recent addition to the WSOP champions club Michael Rodrigues (1,100,000), Patrick Leonard (1,090,000), and Alexander Freund (1,035,000) each finished the night with seven-figures stacks, while Allen Kessler returns to the fray with a top ten stack in tow.
Notables who returned for Day 2 but were unable to advance to Day 3 include Dan Shak, Day 1 chip leader Jason Gola, Maria Ho, Ari Engel and Dan Zack.
Players returning for Day 3 are guaranteed at least $5,840 but will be vying for the first-place prize of $145,863 and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet. Clinton Cartwright bet from the cutoff and received calls from Tom Schneider in the button and Ziyuan Wang in the small blind. Wang drew one, Cartwright drew two, and Schneider drew three.
Wang bet after the first draw and received a call from both opponents. Wang drew one, Cartwright and Schneider drew two each.
After the second draw, Wang bet again, Cartwright folded, Schneider made it two bets, and Wang called. Both players drew one.
With no draws remaining, Wang bet again, and Schneider called. Wang tabled the nuts with 7x5x4x3x2x for the wheel to take down a big pot.
A few hands later, Clinton Cartwright was eliminated in 19th place.

Oleksandr Trokhymenko raised on the button and was called by James Williams.
Both players drew two and then both players checked.
On the second draw, both drew two again but this time Williams bet and Trokhymenko called all in.
Both players stood pat on the end and Williams revealed 10x6x5x4x3x. It was good against Trokhymenko's 10x9x8x4x2x and Trokhymenko was eliminated.

Oleksandr Trokhymenko bet from the cutoff, Daniel Anton made it three bets, James Williams made it four bets, Trokhymenko called and Anton called with the last of his chips. Trokhymenko drew one while Williams and Anton drew two each.
Action checked around after the first draw and once again Trokhymenko drew one while his two opponents each drew two.
Action checked around again after the second draw. Trokhymenko stood pat, Williams drew one and Anton drew one.
Williams showed 7x4x3x2x before peeling his last card. Anton had ten-high and needed Williams to hit a jack or pair one of his cards for a chance to stay alive. Williams hit the 8x and sent Anton to the rail while collecting a decent amount of chips from Trokhymenko who could not beat Williams' 87.

Action was picked up just before the first draw. Jason Gola was already all in from under the gun and drew three, Charles tucker drew two from the small blind and Thomas Taylor drew three from the big blind.
After the first draw Tucker bet and was called by Taylor. Both players drew one, checked and drew one again.
with no draws left Tucker fired another bet which got Tucker to fold.

Tucker had made number four on the third draw which was enough to send the Day 1 Chip Leader to the rail and collect a decent pot.
