Nielsen Gets Three Streets of Value

Livello 15 : Blinds 0/0, 5,000 ante

In a heads-up pot with close to 50,000 in the middle on a flop of A109, Martin Nielsen bet out 30,000 from middle position and Nobuaki Sasaki came along on the button.

The 6 hit the turn and Nielsen bet again, this time for 65,000, which Sasaki called. The 10 completed the board and Nielsen tossed out 125,000. Sasaki snap called and was shown the bad news when Nielsen tabled 99 for a full house to scoop the pot.

In a heads-up pot with close to 100,000 in the middle on a flop showing QJJ, Sam Soverel checked from early position to Nobuaki Sasaki in the cutoff who bet 35,000. Soverel announced all in for 335,000 and Sasaki quickly called to put Soverel at risk.

Sam Soverel: KJ
Nobuaki Sasaki: QJ

Both players flopped three jacks, but it was the full house for Sasaki that was well out front. The board ran out 6A and the boat for Sasaki held up to send Soverel to the payout desk in eighth place.

Chris Brewer limped under the gun, as did Martin Nielsen in the cutoff. Martin Zamani raised on the button to 55,000 and only Brewer continued.

On a flop of 8106, Brewer open jammed for 380,000, covering Zamani by approximately 20,000 chips. Zamani made the call.

Martin Zamani: AA
Chris Brewer: 108

The turn and river fell the Q and 7 respectively. Brewer cracked Zamani's aces to send him to the rail.

Short-stacked Wai Kiat Lee moved all in from late position and Martin Zamani shoved for more on the button. The other players quickly got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Martin Zamani: AK

"Ohh, come on, 50/50," Onlooker John Juanda said.

The dealer then spread the flop of A78 to give Zamani a pair of aces.

"Well, not so 50/50 anymore," Chris Brewer joked as the turn came the 6.

"Oh, come on, chop it up," Brewer continued as a nine would now give both players a straight, but unfortunately the river was the 6 and Zamani was awarded the pot while Lee was eliminated in 10th place.

Wasserson Bests Soverel

Livello 14 : Blinds 0/0, 4,000 ante

John Juanda limped in from the hijack, as did Sam Soverel in the cutoff. Eric Wasserson on the button checked his option and it was threeways to a flop.

On a board of 710A, action checked to Soverel who bet out 10,000. Wasserson called and Juanda folded.

The Q turn saw Soverel slow down and Wasserson take the lead for 30,000. Soverel called.

The river fell the 9 and Soverel checked again. Waterson announced a bet of 150,000 and Soverel went into the tank, eventually deciding to fold. Wasserson flashed the K as he dragged in the pot.

Yu Doubles Through Lee

Livello 14 : Blinds 0/0, 4,000 ante

In a three-way pot with close to 30,000 in the middle on a flop showing Q87, Martin Zamani bet 23,000 from early position and Hong Wei Yu made the call in middle position. Wai Kiat Lee raised to 130,000 on the button and Zamani quickly folded. Yu took some time before moving all in for close to 330,000 and Lee made the call with a slightly bigger stack.

Hong Wei Yu: J10
Wai Kiat Lee: 77

Both players flopped the world, but Lee was barely ahead with his set of sevens. The turn brought the 9 to give Yu the flush and the river fell the 8 to secure the double up for Yu and leave Lee short.
