There has been a new rule created, whereby players have to stay in their seats during the bubble. They can leave to go to the toilet or get a drink, but they are not allowed to move around other tables. This is a good rule and one that makes sense, but there are a few teething problems. Firstly, responsibility has to rest with the players. You are not children but grown adults and when you are told to stay in your seat or you will receive a penalty then stay put or accept the conequences. Don't complain when you get a penalty if you have broken the rules! Secondly, the people organising the tournament have to be vigilant and disciplined. While one player was receiving a penalty another player was stood yards away from him and got off scot-free. This seemingly lack of discipline with the officiating will just lead to more people either breaking the rules or complaining about them.
So players park your arse and officials peel open your eyes!
While Barry Greenstein was all in and waiting for the showdown at his table during the bubble hand, Giacomo Maisto raised to 11,000 and Tony G three-bet him to 25,000. Maisto called and the hand went to a flop while Greenstein and his table had to wait out the showdown until this hand was complete.
The flop came down and Maisto check-called a bet of 25,000 from Tony G. After the landed on the turn, Maisto checked and Tony G bet again. Maisto folded and Tony G showed the .
Barry Greenstein was in the cut-off when he moved all-in for 28,000 and Brian Roberts was seated in the big blind and he made the call. Both players had to wait patiently whilst the rest of the tables finished their hands. While they were waiting Greenstein told Arnaud Mattern that his girlfriend had sent him a text to say that she had a strange feeling that he was going to bubble, unfortunately she would be proven right.

The flush hit on the turn sending the veteran out in 65th place. Greenstein got to his feet and, ever the gentlemen, signed a copy of his book and handed it to Roberts before leaving.
When you are playing 2,500/5,000 blinds you do not expect a 600,000 stack and a 400,000 stack to be involved in the bubble, but amazingly we did and this is how the hand went down.
Chris Moorman raised to 12,000 in the hijack seat and Constant Rijkenberg three-bet to 31,000 from the big blind. The flop was and Rijkenberg went straight at Moorman with a 25,000 bet. All eyes averted to Moorman and he raised to 56,000 and Rijkenberg called immediately. When the dealer placed the on the felt Rijkenberg checked and Moorman bet 114,000. By this time the media started to realise that this was getting serious. Rijkenberg knew it was and he made the call. The last card to be snapped on to the table was the . Rijkenberg once again checked and Moorman moved all of his chips across the line (229,000).
The media invaded the table and all you could hear was the sound of clicking cameras. Rijkenberg counted out the bet and looked at what the potential damage could be (he would have been left with 190k) and then he made the call. Moorman turned over with the confidence of a man at the very top of his game and Rijkenberg looked sick, before quietly sliding his cards, face down, to the dealer.

We've played four hands of the bubble, and we're still holding strong at 65 players.
In the most significant action we've seen so far, Jake Cody opened the last pot to 10,500, and Shawn Buchanan flatted in the cutoff. The two of them have been firing back and forth at each other lately, but Freddy Deeb snuck into the pot with a reraise to 43,500 total. That folded Cody without incident, but Buchanan wasn't going anywhere. He asked Deeb how much he had behind -- about 270,000 -- then announced an all-in shove for 184,000 total. Now it was Deeb's turn in the tank, and he made Buchanan squirm for quite a long while.
"I didn't scare you when I said I had you covered?" he asked at one point.
About a minute later, he spoke up again. "All right. I'll let you live. Go ahead, take it." And with that, Deeb mucked.
