In these "1k lottos" as they are so fondly called, it is rare to see lots of big names near the very end, but not only do we have big names, they are our chip leaders. Of the 27 remaining players, Jason Somerville is our chip leader with (749,000). Somerville stayed patient throughout the day and only in the last few levels did he go on the run that put him in the position he is now atop the field including this hand that put him over the 700,000 mark.
Jason Somerville and Phillip Sears got it all in on the flop of Somerville had Sears just barely covered.
Somerville showed and Sears had
The turn gave Sears trips, but the river gave Somerville the winning flush and skyrocketed him into the chip lead with 740,000.
Tim West had a very similar run where he only got hot near the end of the day and he is now second in chips with 677,000. At Table 373 David Peters moved all in hoping to either double up or steal some blinds. Despite this Tim West made the call and put Peter's tournament life at risk.
Cards were then turned over, and West held and Peters held . After the cards were turned over for the showdown the board ran out . West hit an ace high flush and sent David Peters to the rail. This was the second player he busted with in a 20-minute span and these two knockouts are what put him in the chip position he is now.
Other notable players include, Valdemar Kwaysser (352,000) Sybe Smit (305,000), and Lex Veldhuis (230,000). Other players over 500k are Brent Shaffer (646,000), James Schaaf (625,000), Yashar Darian (604,000), and Shane Rose (547,000).
We'll play ten levels again tomorrow or down to a bracelet winner (more likely the former though) and it should be an exciting day with so many big names left in the mix. Restart at 2:30 PM PST in the Amazon Room. See you there.
Tim West opened for 24,000 from under-the-gun and Michael Glasser re-raised to 70,000 even from the cutoff. West thought for a minute and then announced, "All-in."
"Blech, I call," Glasser said, pushing his remaining 200,000 into the middle.
West:
Glasser:
The board came , leaving West with a winning set of kings.
West is now up to approximately 700,000.
With the elimination of Michael Glasser in 28th place, we are down to our final three tables of the tournament.
Play has paused for the time being while a complete re-draw is done.
Evins Cherfils went all in preflop from late position for his last 130,000 and got a call from Yashar Darian in the big blind. Cherfils showed and Darian showed
The board ran out to put Darian up to 650,000 and send Cherfils to the rail.
With the elimination of Cherfils, we have only one player to go before we do a complete re-draw of our final three tables.

We saw a big pot brewing at Table 370 between Jason Hallee and Lex Velhuis and came over to see the action. When we got there Hallee bet out 50,000 on a board.
There was already a lot of chips in the pot so we know there was some sort of betting and calling before the river. Veldhuis called the 50,000 bet and Hallee tabled . Veldhuis scoffed and mucked his cards.
